Residency Program

This biennial, low-tech retreat strips creation down to its essentials. By limiting screens and technology, artists from across disciplines and regions of the province can fully immerse in the creative process.

2025 Introspect: a residency by-the-sea

This special and extra edition of Introspect is titled “a residency by the sea” and takes place at Kingsbrae International Residency for the Arts (KIRA) from April 26 to May 9, 2025.

Participants included: David Adams, Martin Kutnowski, Bonny Hill, Ella Christison, Denise MacLean, and Stephanie Weirathmueller.

2024 Introspect

The second iteration of Introspect: a nature residency was held in collaboration with Parks NB, and brought together five artists in Mount Carleton Provincial Park to work on a personal project and a community creation.

Participants included: Stella d’Entremont, Caoife Garvey, Kaitlin Hoyt, Jaclyn Martinez, and Kim Stillwell

2022 Introspect

In 2022, the five selected artists (Tomo IngallsMelissa KennedyLeah WiltonDanielle Smith, and Jesse Mea) stayed in rustic shelters of Herring Cove Provincial Park on Campobello Island, taking inspiration from the beautiful, picturesque setting and creating art.
